This summer Muñoz was featured at Music Hall, Detroit Institute for the Arts, Detrtoit Film Theatre as well as Chicago’s Old Town School of Folk Music and a 20-show run at Casa Flamenca in Albuquerque,NM.  Muñoz is honored tonight to be directing on behalf of the Fountain Theatre.
In 2007 Muñoz is hired as choreographer for Maria Benitez’s renowned Flamenco cabaret in Santa Fe performing six nights a week throughout the summer.  In fall of the same year Muñoz creates the company “Jesus Muñoz Flamenco” and also begins extensive tours with New York City’s “Carlota Santana Flamenco Vivo”  introducing Flamenco to 60,000+ people from 2007-15 and co-publishing a national Flamenco curriculum with Santana in 2009.
In 2010, Muñoz founds the non-profit Flamenco school, Casa Flamenca and later that year is invited to co-direct Detroit-based, “La Chispa and Company.”  In 2013 Muñoz is recognized as an influential artist for “100 years of Flamenco in New York City” at Lincoln Center.   Following this he is commissioned as choreographer for literary Master, Rudolfo Anaya’s, work Rosalinda.  From 2012-Current Muñoz creates a series of six signature works (Red Note, 1929, Por Derecho, Techari, ERA. & Palladium Project) in collaboration with the National Hispanic Cultural Center.
